Planetarium is main reason we came 2 staff told us it was open today. And it was still closed for the new , I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I had high expectations for this museum, but it fell short on several aspects.
First and foremost, the organization and presentation of the exhibits were subpar. Many displays were poorly labeled or lacked any explanation whatsoever. It was frustrating to not have a clear understanding of what I was looking at. Additionally, there were no audio guides or interactive elements to enhance the visitor's experience and provide a deeper understanding of the artifacts on display.
Moreover, the museum staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful. I encountered several occasions where I had questions or needed assistance, but the staff appeared unapproachable and disengaged. Their lack of enthusiasm and knowledge made me feel unwelcome and undermined my overall enjoyment of the visit.
Another major issue was the pricing. The admission fee was quite high for what was offered. Considering the lackluster exhibits and the unhelpful staff, I found it difficult to justify the cost. I expected a better value for my money, and unfortunately, I left the museum feeling unsatisfied and disappointed.
During my visit, I looked for opportunities to voice my concerns or provide feedback, but there was no apparent mechanism to do so. This lack of accountability and responsiveness did not give me confidence that my concerns would be addressed or acted upon.
To improve the museum experience, I would strongly suggest implementing clearer labeling and explanations throughout the exhibits. Audio guides or interactive elements could greatly enhance visitors' understanding and engagement. Additionally, it is crucial that the museum invests in training its staff to be more knowledgeable, approachable, and willing to assist visitors.
In conclusion, I regret to say that my experience at the local museum was disappointing. The lack of organization, unhelpful staff, and high cost did not meet my expectations. I hope that the museum management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more enjoyable and educational experience for future
I'm not sure of all the hype. Large building but hardly anything to write home about. We were done in about 20 min, and with the $70 price for 2 adults and 1 child, I left feeling ripped off. The parakeet feeding was the only cool thing about this place. There is a very small 1 room science center in my hometown that has way more stuff to do, and it's only $3. Very disappointing.
Very unfriendly staff at box office. One lady closest to the door was so rude. Guess she was afraid she had to do a little work and pointed at the lady next to her and saying “Tickets right there” in a very rude voice . And that lady was no ray of sunshine either. You think for that position you’d find some more friendly employees since that is the first encounter of a paying customer. The museum was a good experience the kids enjoyed it. I give 2 stars cause your employees need help. Advise is buy tickets online. Thank you.
Such a great birthday experience.
All the kids had an opportunity to pet:
1) Box turtle
2) Bearded Dragon lizard
3) Corn Snake
There were other choices, these are the ones we picked.
The staff were great, very knowledgeable & helpful with the kids.
All around great, we would do it again for sure!
Interesting museum for the kids. Good displays and activities. Parking available at the nearby city parking deck.
Really disappointed. We ended up spending around $40 for two tickets but the whole museum only took us 30 minutes to get through. Everything is a mess, nothing seems organized, and this large building is mostly empty. If you have kids you could probably get an hour out of this place but even then I don’t think it’s worth the price of admission. I’m truly sad that this place didn’t live up to the hype.
It was somewhat smaller than I had expected. There was a lot of interactive exhibits. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Kids would definitely enjoy it. Lots to learn and something for everyone to enjoy.
Big let down for the price. Exhibits were closed, malfunctioning, or dirty. The little children's room was unsafe and unsanitary for letting little ones crawl around. …
